Please do not touch, climb, lean, or sit on any motorcycles or exhibits. Also please do not place personal items such as purses or coats on the motorcycles or exhibits. Unaccompanied children are not permitted. There is a motorcycle available in the museum lobby to sit on for picture taking. Please ask a staff member for assistance.
The museum is based on a self guided system. Each motorcycle is categorized with detailed description.
Entrance to the Museum is as follows:
General Admission: $8.00
Seniors (over 65): $6.00
Active Military/Veterans/1st. Responders/Teachers/Medical $6.00
Children (under 12): Free with adult
We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Checks are NOT accepted.
Hill Country Motorheads is open Wednesday through Saturday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.
CLOSED DECEMBER 15th THROUGH THE END OF JANUARY AND MAJOR HOLIDAYS
New Year’s Day, Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. If you plan to travel to the museum during other holidays please call ahead to confirm museum hours.
Hill Country Motorheads is located at 2001 West Highway 29 in Burnet, Texas
Burnet is approximately 1 hour from Austin, Texas. 1 ½ hours from Fredericksburg, Texas and Luckenbach, Texas.
The Museum is committed to providing a quality experience for all guests. Disability parking is available. Service Animals are welcome. There are accessible toilet stalls in our restrooms. Wheelchairs, including manual or electric single seat chairs and electric mobility seated scooters, and other manually operated mobility devices including walkers, crutches, canes, and other similar devices, are permitted in all public areas of the Museum. Yes. There is a designated place to hang both helmets and jackets in the lobby. Guests are responsible for their own personal items.
Museum Photography Policy:
To Protect the objects being photographed, and for the safety of other visitors, there are certain guidelines that must be followed when photographing at the Hill Country Motorheads Vintage Motorcycle Museum. Photography must be conducted without disruption to the museum operations, and without limiting the accessibility of exhibitions, entrances/exits, doorways, pathways and high traffic areas.
Do not climb, lean, or sit on any exhibits. Do not place props or equipment on the exhibits. Flash photography, tripods, monopods (including “selfie sticks”) and other photography equipment are NOT permitted in the galleries.
Photography is permitted for private, non-commercial use only. Photographs may NOT be published, sold, reproduced, distributed, or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner.
The Lost and Found is located within the Museum office. If you’d like to get in touch with staff about whether or not your item has been found, please contact info@hcmotorheads.com or call 512-553-4078.
Water and Sodas are available for purchase. Gum is prohibited. Please refer to local restaurants under the local attractions tab of our website.
The museum is pet friendly but all pets must be on leash while on the museum property. NO exotic pets allowed. Owner must be able to demonstrate current vaccination proof upon request.
The museum is rentable for small gatherings for a fee. Gathering and number of attendees approved upon Museum owners discretion/City of Burnet Certificate of Occupancy. Renter is responsible for catering, cleaning and any damage to museum structure or exhibits. Please contact museum staff for more information.
